The Aditya Mehta Foundation has partnered with Flutter Entertainment India to expand training and support systems for para-athletes, with the company committing ₹60 lakh toward facility upgrades and adaptive equipment.
The funding is expected to directly benefit about 15 athletes preparing for major competitions over the next three years, including the Asian Youth Para Games and the 2028 Paralympics.
Under the partnership, the foundation will upgrade its training and rehabilitation centre, enhance its adaptive gym, and provide additional coaching and nutrition support.
A portion of the investment will go toward customised equipment and devices designed to meet the individual needs of high-performance para-athletes. AMF, founded in 2013, is regarded as one of Asia’s key hubs for para-sports rehabilitation and has supported athletes who have collectively won more than 450 international medals.
AMF founder and para-cyclist Aditya Mehta said the funding would help athletes access resources essential for competing at international events and securing qualification points for major tournaments. “Specialised training and equipment can be the difference for athletes aiming to compete at the highest level," he said.
Flutter India managing director Ashish Sinha said the initiative aimed to improve access to training infrastructure and sports science support for athletes with disabilities, adding that creating stronger pathways for para-sports “helps athletes compete with confidence on the global stage."
The partnership will focus on two programmes: upgrading training facilities and support services, and providing customised adaptive equipment. Both organisations said the effort is intended to build a more reliable pathway for India’s emerging para-athletes as they work toward qualification for global events.
India’s para-sports system has expanded rapidly in recent years, and targeted funding of this kind remains critical as athletes push for greater representation and success at world events, including the 2028 Paralympics.
