Most of the senior RSS leaders will attend a three-day meeting of convenors of all the State units in the country in Belagavi starting this Friday.
RSS supremo Mohan Bhagwat, Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale, Sah Sarkaryavahas Krishna Gopal, C.R. Mukunda, Arun Kumar, Ramdatt, Alok Kumar and Atul Limaye will attend the meeting scheduled at Sangha Sadan near Kapileshwar Bridge in the city.
Most of the national-level functionaries and region and State-level functionaries, including the convenors of 32 different affiliated organisations and All India Karya Vibhag Pramukhs and members of the organisation’s executive council, are expected to attend the meeting.
“The valedictory of the RSS centenary celebrations, the need for expanding urban shakhas, particularly among IT professionals, business communities and other working professionals, preparations for the 2026 training camps, national issues, including the forthcoming census, will be taken up during the meeting,” sources said.
Various organisational issues related to the RSS and its affiliates will be discussed. The meeting will review the organisation’s activities and chart its future roadmap, RSS leaders said.
Dr. Bhagwat is expected to stay in Belagavi for a week.
Meanwhile, the district administration and the police are making security arrangements.
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Roshan has banned the use of drones and other aerial instruments over the areas where the dignitaries are scheduled to stay.
The order issued under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) 2023 has declared a 2-km radius around three meeting venues as a “Red Zone” (No-Fly Zone) till July 14.
They include the Belagavi Foundry Cluster, Sant Meera School, Sahyadri Colony, Bhagyanagar Extension, Shri Jagannath Rao Joshi Samadarshana Bhavan, Goodshed Road and Shastri Nagar.
The order bans Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), drones and paragliders over and around these areas.
These restrictions are being imposed to ensure security and public safety, said a release.
Additional civil and reserve police forces are also being deployed in the city.
