The anticipation for the Goodwood Festival of Speed is reaching an all-time high as Formula E looks set to steal the attention at motorsport's biggest event. Jaguar TCS Racing will showcase its Jaguar GEN4 proto_TYPE at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed on 9 and 10 July.
The Jaguar GEN4 proto_TYPE, which is currently in development, will be driven on the iconic Goodwood Hillclimb by Brazilian talent Fernando Barrichello. The 20-year-old currently competes in FIA Formula 3 and is the son of 11-time Formula One race winner Rubens Barrichello.

The GEN4 era in Formula E will mark a seismic performance evolution, with maximum power increasing from 350kW to 600kW, the introduction of permanent active all-wheel drive, and the ability to regenerate at 700kW.
GEN4 provides the biggest scope yet for Jaguar to develop its powertrain technology, ensuring Jaguar TCS Racing will continue to innovate on track to enable the transfer of technology to future Jaguar all-electric road cars.Jaguar TCS Racing driver Fernando Barrichello said, “I am honoured to drive for Jaguar TCS Racing at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. It is the first time I have driven the famous Hillclimb, and to do it with a World Championship-winning team is a real privilege.
It is going to be very exciting to drive the Jaguar GEN4 proto_TYPE at Goodwood. There is so much anticipation around the new GEN4 era of Formula E that to drive the car at such an iconic event as Goodwood is going to be incredible.
