Who Was Sadhvi Prem Baisa?
Sadhvi Prem Baisa was widely known for storytelling and devotional singing across rural regions of western Rajasthan. She conducted religious discourses in areas such as Barmer, Jodhpur, and surrounding districts, attracting a large number of devotees.
She was a disciple of Mahant Veermanath and lived with her guru at the ashram, actively participating in religious and social activities. Mahant Veermanath is also her father and a respected spiritual figure who resides at Kutir Ashram.

The video was claimed to be around three years old but was allegedly edited and circulated out of context. Sadhvi Prem Baisa clarified that the man in the video was her father, Mahant Veermanath. She explained that she hugged him emotionally after meeting him following a long time, and that several other people were present in the room.
According to her, the clip was deliberately edited to portray a pure father-daughter relationship in a negative light. She called it a conspiracy and said that God would never forgive those responsible.
Social Media Backlash And Religious Debate
The video triggered intense debate online. While some users criticised Sadhvi Prem Baisa and labelled the video obscene, her supporters maintained that it was fake, edited, and maliciously circulated.
Many within the religious community questioned her character based on the viral clip, while others stood firmly by her side. The controversy reportedly severely affected her reputation and mental well-being.
Allegations Of Blackmail And Police Complaint
Sadhvi Prem Baisa alleged that the video was used to blackmail her. She filed a complaint at Boranada Police Station in Jodhpur, stating that the accused demanded Rs 20 lakh to stop the video from being made public.
When she refused to pay, the video was allegedly circulated on social media. She said this was a deliberate attempt to defame her and tarnish the sacred father-daughter relationship.
Appeal For Trial By Fire
In an effort to prove her innocence, Sadhvi wrote letters to prominent saints across the country, including Jagatguru Shankaracharya, requesting a trial by fire. She believed this would publicly establish her purity and truth.
Despite her appeals, the controversy continued to haunt her.

“I lived every moment for the promotion of Sanatan Dharma. There is no religion greater than Sanatan Dharma in this world. Until my last breath, my heart was devoted to Sanatan. I am fortunate to have been born in Sanatan Dharma and to have taken my last breath for it.
Throughout my life, I received blessings from Adi Jagatguru Shankaracharya, world yoga gurus, and respected saints. I wrote letters to Adi Guru Shankaracharya and many great saints in the country, requesting a trial by fire, but what did nature intend?
