Sahibganj civil court gets bomb threat, turns out to be hoax

Dumka: Panic gripped the civil court premises in Sahibganj on Thursday after the district administration received an email threatening to blow up the premises. The threat later turned out to be a hoax.Similar hoax mails were sent to civil courts and govt establishments in Ranchi and Bokaro over the past couple of months.Police personnel cordoned off the court premises and bomb disposal squads were brought in. However, no explosive material was found during the search. SP Amit Kumar Singh said that similar incidents were reported from several parts of the state, due to which the police were already on alert. “We had prior instructions from the police headquarters and were prepared. Our team reached the spot. It turned out to be hoax,” he said.
