Actors Atharva Karve and Saksshhi Mahajan tied the knot in a traditional Maharashtrian ceremony near Pune after eight years together. The couple, who met on the sets of 'Vithu Mauli', celebrated their union with industry peers. Karve, known for his role as young Dr. BR Ambedkar, expressed his joy, while Mahajan described the marriage as surreal and special.
Actors Athrva Karve and Saksshhi Mahajan got married in a traditional Maharashtrian ceremony on Friday morning on the outskirts of Pune. The two first met on the sets of a Marathi TV show, Vithu Mauli, and have been together since eight years.
The newlyweds chose coordinated beige-peach ensembles for their big day. Apart from their families, their wedding was attended by peers from the industry including, Mahesh Kothare, Smita Deshpande, Asha Kale, Sukanya Mone, Ajinkya Raut, Aishwarya Shete and others. Athrva, who became a household name after portraying the titular role of young Dr BR Ambedkar in the TV show, Ek Mahanayak – Dr BR Ambedkar, said, “I feel truly blessed to have married the love of my life after 8 years.
We manifested this moment, and are extremely happy. It feels like the beginning of a beautiful new phase filled with growth, partnership, and shared dreams.” Looking radiant as a Marathi bride, Saksshhi shared, “Being married feels truly surreal and special.
He’s someone who is calm, dependable, and emotionally strong, and that sense of stability really stood out to me.” Saksshhi and Atharva had a wonderful time with their close circle during their pre-wedding celebrations such as mehendi, haldi and sangeet ceremonies. At the sangeet, Arthrva made Saksshhi blush by singing Yeh Raatein, Ye Mausam for her.
