New Delhi: Samsung is planning to expand its M-series lineup in India by unveiling the Galaxy M17e 5G on March 17. This device will offer several AI features, including Google Gemini, Circle to Search, and much more.
Samsung has also confirmed that the device will be available in two colour options: Vibe Violet and Blitz Blue. It features a 6.7-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will also support the High Brightness Mode to improve the visibility outdoors.
It is going to be equipped with an 8.2mm thick back panel at its thinnest side, and it will also feature a Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer back panel. It is going to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor. This chipset is going to include two Cortex-A76 performance cores and six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores.
The integrated Arm Mali-G75 GPU is especially designed to handle graphics for multimedia playback and casual gaming while maintaining power efficiency.
In terms of the camera, the device will come with a 50MP main camera sensor coupled with a 12MP depth sensor for portrait photos. On the front, this device is going to have an 8MP primary camera sensor for selfies and video calling. It houses a 6,000mAh battery, and out of the box, it runs on One UI 8 based on Android 16.
This device will support Google Gemini AI, which is going to help generate text, explain topics, summarise information, and assist with planning tasks. It will also include Circle to Search, enabling users to search for information directly from the screen by circling or tapping the objects, text, or images.
Samsung also claims to offer 6 years of OS updates and 6 years of security updates. In addition, it includes IP54 dust and water resistance, Samsung Knox Vault security, and access to Samsung services such as Samsung Health and Samsung Members.
