New Delhi: Samsung has officially introduced its rumored Galaxy M47 5G in India. Its latest addition to its mid-range phone lineup in the Indian market. Galaxy M47 5G aimed to attract Gen Z and the younger generation with heavy entertainment, gaming, and multi-day battery requirements. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, which is built on a different 4nm architecture. It boosts performance and system responsiveness. The company has coupled this chipset with fast LPDDR5X RAM and with quick-access UFS 3.1 onboard storage.

The hardware stack aims at reducing the data bottleneck, decreasing app stutters, and curbing the general power draw during active background multitasking. It also features bypass charging and thermal benefits. It sports a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a high peak brightness level, along with a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering fluid scrolling transitions across UI animations, social media apps, and streaming workflows.

It houses a large 6,000mAh battery, which is specially designed to comfortably sustain more than a full day of intensive real-world consumption. It supports 45W wired fast charging, significantly shortening top-up cycles for a cell of this volume. In terms of the camera, it includes a 50MP main camera sensor with OIS support. OIS offsets the subtle hand-shakes to keep the video recording stable and the low-light photography sharp. It is coupled with a 5MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera sensor.

On the front, it has a 12MP HDR main camera sensor for selfies and video calling, designed to balance the skin tones in highly backlit or direct sunlight situations. Out of the box, it runs on One UI 8.5, based on Android 16. Samsung promised to offer 6 years of Android updates and 6 years of security patch updates. Galaxy M47 5G is available in two color options: Rogue Red and Blaze Blue, and it is priced at Rs 22,999.
