Google brings multi-object image search in Circle to Search to Pixel 10 series

Google has announced that it is bringing an update to Circle to Search, one of the most widely used AI-powered features on Android. Sameer Samat, President, Android Ecosystem at Google, announced at the Galaxy Unpacked event that the Samsung Galaxy S26 series – Galaxy S26 Ultra, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 – will be the first devices to get it.

The update, which allows users to search for multiple objects in a single image all at once, is also coming to Pixel 10 series of phones – Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

Circle to Search gets an update: How it works

Google says that since its launch, Circle to Search has handled billions of queries every month, helping users identify everything that is on their screen. The feature works by letting users circle, scribble over, or highlight anything on their screen to trigger a Google search.

Until now, that worked best when a user was looking for a single item. The new update removes that limitation.“Since we launched Circle to Search, you have circled, scribbled and highlighted your way through billions of queries per month. It’s been a game changer for questions like “What are those shoes?” or “Where is this hiking trail?” — and it’s already a powerful tool for finding more information about anything on your Android’s screen,” the company said in a blog post.

“But we know that sometimes you aren't just looking for a single thing on your screen — you're looking for the whole thing,” the company added.According to Google, the update is built on the reasoning and planning capabilities of Gemini 3. Rather than looking for a single visual match, the underlying model now works through a multi-step process wherein it identifies the most relevant parts of an image, running several searches simultaneously, and cross-referencing the results to compile a response that covers every item selected.Google says that fashion is one of the most practical use cases as shopping-related queries are already among the top uses of Circle to Search. For example, if a user spots a look on social media, they can circle the whole outfit — clothing, shoes, and accessories — and get search results for every piece in a single step, rather than searching for each item separately.

Virtual try-on comes to Circle to Search

Google has also added a virtual try-on option directly within Circle to Search. In markets where the feature is already available through standard Google Shopping, users on the Galaxy S26 series and Pixel 10 can now access it from within Circle to Search itself.Users can now select multiple objects within the same image and get results for all of them in one go. The update is available on the Samsung Galaxy S26 series and Google's Pixel 10 devices, with a wider rollout to other Android devices to follow.
