New Delhi: Samsung is all set to host its first Galaxy Unpacked event 2026 on February 25. Along with this, Samsung is also expected to introduce its next-generation Galaxy S26 series flagship devices. Samsung has also introduced several features that will be coming on the upcoming devices, such as the Zero-Peeking Privacy, a unified Galaxy Camera experience, and much more this time, along with the device. Next in line is the integration of the most popular AI startup, Perplexity AI, into the Galaxy AI Suite.
Samsung has officially announced that it is all ready to debut Perplexity as an additional AI agent on upcoming flagship Galaxy devices. Perplexity on these flagships is likely to be the Galaxy S26 series, which will have its own phrase, and it will be integrated into several native Galaxy applications.
Users can live stream this event on the Samsung official YouTube channel or Samsung Newsroom, or they can live stream this event on Instagram Live on the official Samsung account.
Samsung has also stated that, besides Google Gemini’s integration into Galaxy AI, users will be able to use Perplexity as an additional AI agent on its upcoming flagship devices, which are expected to be the Galaxy S26 series. The users will be able to access Perplexity through a dedicated voice wake phrase, “Hey Plex,” or by long-pressing the side button.
This action is going to bring up Google Gemini AI by default. Samsung has also suggested that Perplexity on Galaxy devices will be able to work across several native applications, such as Samsung Notes, Clock, Gallery, Reminder, and Calendar, as well as select third-party applications.
Besides adding the Perplexity to the Galaxy AI ecosystem, Samsung is also set to revamp its own voice assistant, Bixby. The recently redesigned Bixby assistant is currently in beta testing with the One UI 8.5 version, which is likely to debut on the Galaxy S26 series.
Samsung is also positioning Bixby as a more conversational device agent that can understand natural language and handle phone settings. Beyond the device controls, Samsung is also extending Bixby’s reach on the web. The revamped version can fetch live information directly inside its own interface, instead of pushing the users into the browser.
