Samsung Galaxy S-series smartphones will launch on February 25 at the company's first Galaxy Unpacked event of 2026. The South Korean giant is expected to unveil its latest flagship lineup which may include the the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra.
The new lineup succeeds last year's Galaxy S25 series and is expected to arrive with a bunch of improvements, including a powerful SoC, AI features and privacy tools. Here is all what we know so far.
How to watch the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event live
The Galaxy Unpacked event kicks off at 10 am PT (11:30 p.m. IST) and is scheduled to take place in San Francisco. Samsung will broadcast the event live on its official website and YouTube channel.
Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra expected price
Samsung has not revealed any information about the price of these smartphones.
However, previous leaks and reports have suggested that the lineup might arrive at a significantly higher price as compared to the last year’s phones. A report said that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra price may start at about KRW 1.8 million (approximately Rs 1,13,000) for the base 256GB storage variant, while the 512GB option may be priced at KRW 2 million (approximately Rs 1,26,000).Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26+ is expected to cost about KRW 1.5 million (approximately Rs 94,000) and about KRW 1.66 million (approximately Rs 1,04,000) for the 256GB and 512GB, respectively.
The Galaxy S26 may launch at a price of KRW 1.3 million (approximately Rs 82,000) and about KRW 1.46 million (approximately Rs 92,000), respectively.For context, the Galaxy S25 Ultra was launched in India with a price of Rs 1,29,999 for the 256GB storage model, while the Galaxy S25+ launched at Rs 99,999. The Galaxy S25 launch price in India at was Rs 80,999.The Samsung Galaxy S26 series may be offered in White, Sky Blue, Cobalt Violet and Black colour options.
Samsung Galaxy S26 series pre-reservation offers in India
The company, however, has announced pre-reservation of its phones, offering discounts to those who pre-book these phones. Pre-reservations opened on February 11 and require a refundable token amount of Rs 999. Bookings can be made online through Samsung.com, Amazon.in, and Flipkart.com, as well as offline at Samsung Exclusive stores and select retail outlets across the country. Those who pre-reserve will be eligible for exclusive benefits worth Rs 2,699 on the final purchase of the device.
Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra expected specification
The Galaxy S26 Ultra has been the subject of the most leaks ahead of the launch. Several photos and renders that have surfaced online suggest the phone retains the same overall form factor as last year's Galaxy S25 Ultra, though the camera module appears to have been redesigned.The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.9-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. Under the hood, the phone is rumoured to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
Last year, the company announced that the chipset has been optimised specifically for Galaxy devices, and this year may also be the same. The phone is said to support up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB storage.Camera on the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to be a quad-camera setup comprising a 200MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, a 50MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, and an additional 10MP shooter. The phone is expected to run One UI 8.5 based on Android 16 out of the box.On battery front, the Galaxy S26 Ultra may house a 5,000mAh cell with support for 60W wired charging — a step up from the 45W charging on the Galaxy S25 Ultra — along with 20W wireless charging.Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S26 is expected to sport a 6.3-inch Full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, and the plus-molde may sport a 6.7-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display . Both these phones will reportedly offer up to 120Hz of refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Armor 2 protection, and be equipped with Samsung's flagship octa core Exynos 2600 chipset.They may carry triple rear camera units, featuring a 50MP main shooter with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom capabilities, and a 12MP ultrawide camera. The Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ may be backed by 4,300mAh and 4,900mAh batteries, respectively.
Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro
In addition to the Galaxy S26 series, Samsung is also expected to launch the Galaxy Buds 4 and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro at the same event. The new TWS earphones may come with a refreshed design and integration with Galaxy AI features.
