Back in Oct. 2025, San Francisco 49ers backup quarterback Mac Jones was sacked six times in a Week 6 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It made him move unsteadily and limp between plays.

At the postgame press conference, a reporter asked him if it seemed, by the end of the last two games, that he had not been moving well. Jones replied with a twist: “Thank you. Do you want to race?” This energy has been lasting forever, and he seems to invite more trouble than ever. A few days ago, a historic blizzard took place in New York, reportedly leaving 20 inches of heavy snow. This led locals to break out into a snowball fight in Washington Square Park.

And according to a TikTok video posted by Jones, he was also there for a viral snowball fight.

Mac Jones captions throwing snowballs TikTok video as “snowball launchmaxxing”

In the clip, the 49ers QB is seen throwing snowballs in the snowy scene that enveloped New York’s atmosphere. He captioned the post: “Snowball launchmaxxing.”A fan commented on it, saying, the signal caller was “throwing dots.” QB immediately responded, “absolute rippers.”Now, this little, fun, lighthearted incident had a different face.

Several NYPD officers were hit in the face during the snowball fight.

Ice chunks smashed into New York City police officer’s head

Police Benevolent Association President Patrick Hendry told Spectrum News that it was very disturbing. Two New York City police officers were attacked. They were surrounded by mostly adults who were blocking both park entrances. He said it wasn’t a snowball fight but rather ice chunks smashing into a police officer’s head. He wants the individuals who did it to be identified, captured, arrested, and then prosecuted by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.

Arrest made in snowball fight

The New York Post reported that two NYPD officers who were pelted with snow went to the hospital with injuries. Gusmane Coulibaly, 27, was arrested in relation to the incident. NY prosecutors dropped an assault charge against him. He is still facing obstruction of government administration, a misdemeanor.

As for Jones, he recently shared two photos from the historic blizzard on Instagram. One during the snowstorm and another with a snowman. This leaves us with one important question: Why was Jones in New York?

NFL executive believes Mac Jones will be traded to New York Jets

Yahoo Sports’ senior NFL reporter Jori Epstein reports that one NFL executive believes Jones will be traded to the Aaron Glenn-led Jets. When Epstein asked people who would go to New York. An executive told her, “Mac Jones.” She told him that the 49ers have made it clear that they don’t want him out. The executive told her, “Yeah, but there’s a price for everyone.”
