Television actress Sanchita Ugale’s death by suicide on June 14 has left the industry in shock. Best known for shows such as Saajin Ghar, Kumkum Bhagya and Dilwali Dulha Le Jayegi, her passing has left friends and colleagues grappling with the loss.Actress Megha Sharma, who worked with Sanchita on Saajin Ghar, says, “She was my friend and co-actor. We worked together on Saajin Ghar. I had spoken to her two or three days before her demise, and we had met around 10 to 15 days earlier.”Responding to speculation surrounding Sanchita’s death, Megha says there was no issue related to her professional life. While Sanchita had been dealing with health concerns and personal struggles, work was never the cause, she insists.According to Megha, Sanchita had been battling depression but was showing signs of recovery. “She had been going through depression, but she had also started recovering. The last time I met her, she looked happy, confident and healthy,” she says.Dismissing reports linking Sanchita’s death to workplace issues, Megha adds, “She had no issues related to work. Nobody was harassing her, and no production house did anything wrong. She was, in fact, quite happy with her work.”
