Bholanath Ghosh, a key witness in the case against the arrested TMC leader Sheikh Shahjahan of Sandeshkhali, was severely injured in a road accident, in which his younger son and the driver of the car were killed.

Ghosh is a key witness in a case relating to the attack on ED officers travelling to question Trinamool strongman Sheikh Shahjahan in Sandeshkhali in January 2024.

While talking to News18, Bolanath stated that he knows the driver of the truck that collided with his vehicle near the Boyramari petrol pump in the North 24 Parganas district. According to Ghosh, Alim Molla was the driver who was driving the lorry that crashed into their vehicle.

Locals informed News18 that Alim Molla, who, according to Bholanath Ghosh, was driving the lorry, is an aide of Sheikh Shahjahan.

In fact, Mollah was also present outside the residence of Shahjahan on the day the Enforcement Directorate officials were attacked.

‘They Planned To Kill Me’: Bholanath Ghosh

Speaking to News18, Ghosh said, “I was a key witness in this murder case; therefore, they have planned to kill me. A lorry cannot come in that way with that speed."

He further stated that he had been previously intimidated as well. “I will file a complaint today. I have lost my son. I am sure that Shajahan is behind this. I know the driver and I am sure," he added.

“Shajahan is behind the bar, but his terror still exists in Sandeshkhali," the witness, Bholanath Ghosh, said.
