Sanjay Kumar Srivastava takes charge as South Central Railway General Manager

A 1988 batch Indian Railway Engineering Service (IRSE) officer, Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, took charge as the General Manager of South Central Railway (SCR).

Before assuming the office of SCR General Manager, Mr. Srivastava was the General Manager, Central Organisation of for Railway Electrification (CORE).

He was instrumental in implementing various technological advancements and policies related to civil engineering and contributed significantly to railway infrastructure, metro projects, and advanced rail technologies.

Mr. Srivastava began his career as Assistant Engineer, Valsad, and later held various positions such as Divisional Track Engineer and Deputy Chief Engineer in Mumbai and Vadodara.

His tenure at RITES as General Manager (Urban Transport) saw his immense contributions to metro projects, including Kolkata, Kochi, and Nagpur metros, involving planning, design, and tendering processes, said SCR Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) A. Sridhar, in a release, on Saturday.
