Satwik-Chirag Semifinal Match Today at Badminton BWF World Championships LIVE Score Updates: History is on the cards for Indian badminton pairing of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty as they look to become the first ever men’s doubles pair from India to reach the finals of the Badminton World Championships. Late on Friday night at Paris 2025, after defeating Malaysia’s two-time Olympic medallists Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik in the quarterfinals in Paris, they assured themselves of a podium finish in Paris. They have also guaranteed that India’s streak of winning at least one medal at the tournament starting with the 2011 edition will continue. This will be the second medal for the pairing after their bronze back in 2022.
Satwik-Chirag will now face the 11th-seeded Chinese pair, Chen Bo Yang and Liu Yi in the semifinals. Satwik-Chirag won the only previous meeting against Chen-Liu, back in June last year at the Thailand Open. The match is expected to start around 12.30 am IST. “Yang-Yi are not underdogs at all. In semifinals, no underdogs,” reiterated Satwik. Chirag agreed. “We will approach it just like any other match we played. One match at a time. They are a good formidable pair, we’ve played against them before,” he told BWF.
