Sauce Gardner walked the BET Awards red carpet this week with girlfriend Brooklyn Nikole on his arm, and it's official: the Colts cornerback has fully moved on from his Ice Spice era.

But the road from one rapper-adjacent romance to the next moved faster than most fans realised.

Gardner and Ice Spice first crossed paths on LeBron James' "The Shop" back in April 2024, and rumours followed them for over a year before they went Instagram-official in April 2025 with a matching pink mirror selfie.

Even then, Gardner stayed cagey about it. Asked directly by TMZ if they were dating, all he'd offer was: "We cool... It's still the same for real. I ain't trying to speak too much on it." He did open up slightly about the chemistry, though, telling TMZ: "We just be having a good time. Two young individuals... two people that get hated on that's really good at what we do, so we've got a lot in common."

By August, cracks were showing, Ice Spice was spotted leaving a West Hollywood restaurant hand-in-hand with TikTok star and basketball player Diamant Blazi, sending breakup rumours into overdrive.

The pair were soon following each other on Instagram, and by December, Gardner had hard-launched the relationship properly, sharing a selfie of the two of them at an NBA game.
