Indian woman confronts Bangladeshi waiter for making anti-India remarks at Italian restaurant

Staying calm in the midst of a verbal attack by someone isn't always the ideal way forward, especially when the remarks are about your country. In a video going viral on social media, an Instagram influencer named Khushi Dubey aptly tackled a Bangladeshi waiter's derogatory remarks about India, making him apologise for the same.Dubey, who goes on the social media app as (@khushicupcake5), shared a video of a tense confrontation with a waiter during a restaurant visit in Italy. In the clip, the man named Hossain could be heard arguing with a group of women during payment and telling them: "f***-off you, I call the police."The women immediately called out his behaviour, affirming that he could not speak to them disrespectfully. As the confrontation escalated, Hossain allegedly made remarks about their nationality.

At one point, he said, "You carry your country badly." In response, one of Khushi’s friends replied, "We're from Bangladesh that's why," apparently in an attempt to counter his comments. As Hossain continued with his advance, he said: "You're from f***ing India." He also made more such comments targeting the country, leaving the group outraged.Soon, Khushi could be heard saying "yaar usko paise do aur chalo warna I'll slap him."

Despite the heated circumstances, the women continued confronting the waiter and demanding accountability for his remarks.

Police intervention and apology

Later in the footage, Khushi and her friends could be seen speaking to Hossain in the presence of Italian police officers. The group insisted that the waiter acknowledge and apologise for his anti-India comments. Although Hossain appeared reluctant to apologise, Khushi remained firm.

She repeatedly asked him to issue a proper apology, telling him, "SAY, I AM SORRY FOR ABUSING INDIA."

Social media reaction

After going viral online, the video gained the group of women's appreciation for standing their ground."Girls! Salute you the way you made him apologise to India. You’re a true patriot. Proud of your group of friends," wrote a user."Love the way you handled the situation, girls.... I would have chosen violence," claimed another."Mention the restaurant please so the rest of us can avoid the same experience," one asked.
