Supreme Court declines urgent hearing of plea for court monitored SIT probe, asks what is the urgency, says petition will be heard after vacation ends

Supreme Court of India
The Supreme Court on Monday declined to urgently list a plea seeking a court-monitored, time-bound investigation by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) in the Ram Temple donation scam case, saying the matter would be taken up after the court reopens.
The petition sought directions for a court-supervised probe by an SIT into the matter. However, the apex court refused to grant an urgent hearing.
During the mentioning of the case, the bench questioned the need for immediate intervention, asking, “What’s the urgency?"
The court subsequently directed that the petition be listed after the court resumes functioning following the vacation.
