School student drowns during picnic in Madhya Pradesh

MHOW: A school student drowned in a water body near Kekariya Dabri village, under the jurisdiction of the Badgonda police station in Mhow tehsil on Monday around 1 pm.Upon receiving information, the police arrived at the scene and launched a search operation for the student.Badgonda Police Station In-charge Prakash Waskale said that the police team was dispatched to the scene immediately after receiving information about the incident. The police are currently engaged in searching for the student who drowned.Kekariya Dabri resident Vikram Baria said that four school students, dressed in school uniforms, came for a picnic and were bathing in the water. The water level was high because of the monsoon season.
