Chandigarh: Rayat Bahra University organised the two-day 3rd International Conference on Life Sciences, Health and Environment Sustainability (ICLSHES-2026) under the aegis of the University School of Life Sciences.
The conference brought together researchers, academicians and experts from across the country to deliberate on emerging challenges and innovative solutions related to health, life sciences and environmental sustainability.The conference was organised in collaboration with the Red Ribbon Club, Punjab Youth Services, the Indian Red Cross Society, the Microbiologists Society of India, the Punjab State Council for Science and Technology (PSCST), Chandigarh, and Innovation Mission Punjab.
Addressing the gathering, Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chancellor of Rayat Bahra University, Rayat Bahra Professional University, Hoshiarpur, and Bahra University, Shimla, emphasised the importance of encouraging startups and entrepreneurship among young people.Prof Simerjit Kaur DSW welcomed the distinguished guests, speakers and participants and presented an overview of the conference.The conference was attended by Shivdular Singh Dhillon, Secretary-cum-Chief Executive of the Indian Red Cross Society, Punjab State Branch, Chandigarh, as the Chief Guest. Prof. Dapinder Kaur Bakshi, Joint Director and Head, Research and Start-up Facilitation Division, attended as Guest of Honour and highlighted the importance of intellectual property rights, research culture and innovation-driven development.Vice Chancellor Prof Sanjay Kumar emphasised the need for universities to build strong ecosystems that promote research, innovation and entrepreneurship.
