Meanwhile, the prosecutors are seeking to amend the charges against Diddy, where the parts mentioning attempted arson and kidnapping would be streamlined.
They wrote a letter to Judge Arun Subramanian on June 24, 2025, and mentioned that they had “removed instructions from the charge relating to attempted kidnapping under both California and New York law, attempted arson under California law, and aiding and abetting sex trafficking.
” However, the 55-year-old faces the same racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking counts, according to E! News. Furthermore, the government added that the amendment hopes to simplify the language as it would avoid any confusion and streamline the instructions.

Previously, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs decided that he wouldn't be taking any stand in front of the jury during his trafficking trial. Regarding the decision, the judge emphasised that the jury couldn’t ‘draw any inference or suggestion of your guilt from the fact that you did not testify.’ Combs took the accountability and said that not taking the stand is solely his decision. “We have discussed it thoroughly, that is my decision," he said to the judge, before adding, "That is totally my decision, I am making it."
