Second arrest in Calangute stabbing

Calangute: Calangute police arrested another person in connection with the stabbing of a tattoo artist at Calangute last week. The arrested man, Parshuram, had called the victim Arun Lamani for a meeting at Gauravaddo, Calangute, where he was assaulted with a sharp weapon. On Tuesday, police had arrested Arun Pawar for harbouring the main accused, Akash Lamani. Akash is yet to be arrested.The stabbing was a fallout of a conflict between Arun and two of his former partners, all natives of Gadag, Karnataka. The three were running a tattoo shop in Tito’s lane, Baga, but due to disputes, they had to discontinue the business.Parshuram and Arun were produced before the JMFC Mapusa on Thursday. Parshuram has been remanded in four-day police custody and Pawar in 14-day judicial custody. Further investigations are on.
