Security breach at Dwaraka Tirumala Temple as YouTuber films Moolaviraat; case registered

ELURU: In a security breach at the Dwaraka Tirumala temple in Eluru district, a YouTube influencer allegedly filmed the Moolaviraat (principal idol of the temple) in the early hours of Sunday. Sudheer, a native of Alamuru village in Penumantra mandal of West Godavari district, posted the video on Instagram. Carrying mobile phones inside the main temple is prohibited. The temple authorities detected the breach after examining CCTV footage. Temple Executive Officer V. Thrinadha Rao lodged a complaint with the Dwaraka Tirumala Police Station. Subsequently, he removed two security guards from duty for negligence and sought explanations from the staff members who were present at the time. Dwaraka Tirumala Sub-Inspector Sudheer said a case had been registered against the accused and that he would be taken into custody.
