US President Donald Trump has threatened to deploy Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents at airports across the United States, signalling a tougher stance on illegal immigration.

In a social media post, Trump said that unless Democrats “immediately sign an agreement" to make airports “free and safe again," he would move ICE agents to carry out security operations.

“I will move our brilliant and patriotic ICE Agents to the Airports where they will do Security like no one has ever seen before," Trump said, adding that the move would include the “immediate arrest of all illegal immigrants" in the country.

He also singled out Minnesota, criticising local leadership and referring to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, as part of his broader attack on immigration policies.

The remarks mark a significant escalation in rhetoric on immigration enforcement, with Trump proposing the use of federal immigration agents in airport security roles—traditionally handled by agencies like the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
