Sena (UBT) Kolhapur dist president resigns from the post

Kolhapur: The Kolhapur district president Shiv Sena (UBT), Ravikiran Ingavale, has resigned from his post after two years, citing lack of support within the organisation, though he clarified that he has not quit the party. The resignation comes amid signs of internal discord, days after a purported audio clip of a heated exchange between Ingavale and city president Manjit Mane got circulated on social media, indicating a rift within the Kolhapur unit.“I am going to meet party president Uddhav Thackeray soon and will apprise him about what is going on in organisation at the lower and mid levels. I am fed up with the lack of clear policy. No one is there to support when someone takes lead. I have decided not to join any party, neither anyone has approached me,” Ingavale told TOI.A former footballer and Brazil supporter, Ingavale used a sporting analogy to describe his decision, saying he could not continue to play “forward” alone. He has been a key local functionary, having served as Kolhapur city president for eight years, a four-time corporator in the Kolhapur Municipal Corporation, and former chairman of the civic body’s standing committee.
