Sena UBT’s Milind Narvekar and Bhaskar Jadhav locked in war of words

Chaitanya.MarpakwarMumbai: Amid the defection by six MPs, a war of words broke out between Sena (UBT) MLC Milind Narvekar and party MLA Bhaskar Jadhav. Jadhav commented by asking who Milind Narvekar was.

Narvekar, who is a close aide of Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray, hit back at Jadhav, saying he was frustrated. “Frustration. CM Devendra Fadnavisji, implement Uddhavji’s (Thackeray) letter as soon as possible, because ordinary Shiv Sainiks like us are being affected by his mental distress,” Narvekar said in a post on X referring to Uddhav’s letter to Assembly Speaker Rahul Narvekar urging him to appoint Bhaskar Jadhav as Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in the Legislative Assembly.Later, Jadhav said it didn’t click which Narvekar he was being referred to, and he thought it was Assembly Speaker Rahul Narvekar. “Actually, I have the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Rahul Narvekar, sitting in my head. So, which Narvekar this was, didn’t really click with me. So, in a moment, I said, " What is this Narvekar? I consider Milind Narvekar to be strong; he has good relations with people from all parties, this is well known.

I did not make the statement referring to Milind Narvekar,” Jadhav said.The monsoon session of the state legislature began on Monday without an LoP in both the legislative assembly and the council. This is the sixth session where the assembly is without an LoP since the Mahayuti govt came to power in 2024.
