Several parts of Delhi and Noida saw extensive waterlogging on roads as heavy rains hit the National Capital Region (NCR), bringing much-needed relief from the sweltering heatwave in recent days.
Visuals from Delhi’s Chhatarpur, Kartavya Path and Geeta Colony showed cars wading through heavily waterlogged roads amid incessant rainfall today, leading to traffic diversions and long commutes. High-speed winds and rainfall also caused structural damage in South Delhi, as a large tree fell on top of cars near Amar Colony, according to reports.
Similarly, several parts of Noida, including Sector-18 and Sector 104, also faced intense waterlogging. Several roads in Greater Noida’s Ecotech-3 and Malkpur roundabout were also submerged, making daily commute difficult. A long traffic jam was also witnessed in Noida’s Sector 122.
