Love them or hate them, the Oklahoma City Thunder are officially ridiculous — and somehow still getting better.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander dropped 28 points, Chet Holmgren added 24 and eight boards, and OKC steamrolled the Phoenix Suns 138-89 on Wednesday to punch their ticket to the NBA Cup semifinals in Las Vegas.

The win wasn’t just dominant — it was historic.

The Thunder moved to 24-1, matching the best 25-game start in NBA history, a mark set by the 73-win Golden State Warriors in 2015-16. They also extended their franchise-record win streak to 16 straight.

And the scary part? They made it look easy.

This matchup was supposed to be tricky. Their previous meeting, a tight 123-119 OKC win in group play, had been one of the Thunder’s toughest tests during their streak. But this time, Phoenix didn’t have Devin Booker, who missed his third straight game with a strained groin — and the Suns’ offense completely evaporated without him.

Phoenix shot just 39.3%, posted a season-low point total, and got a rough 16 points from Dillon Brooks on 4-of-16 shooting. Oklahoma City’s league-best defense — the one Booker said the “secret is out" about — only looked more terrifying.

The Thunder, meanwhile, rained down 22 three-pointers, sliced up Phoenix at will, and held them to their lowest scoring night of the season.

“We hold ourselves to a high standard," SGA stated afterwards. “Most importantly, it’s about us getting better."

Mission accomplished.

Next up: OKC faces either the Lakers or the Spurs on Saturday for a spot in the NBA Cup final.
