SGCCI’s SITEX receives overwhelming response

Surat: The Surat International Textile Exhibition (SITEX 2026) has received an overwhelming response with more than 17,000 people visiting the exhibition till Sunday.

The SITEX 2026, organised by Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Southern Gujarat Chamber Trade and Industries Development Center, is being held at the SIECC at Sarsana. It was inaugurated by senior vice-president of Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) Rajesh Gandhi on Saturday.

SGCCI president Nikhil Madrasi said that world-class textile machinery is being showcased by the exhibitors in this exhibition. The world’s first four-sheet high-speed rapier jacquard machine was launched at the CTEX Expo. Along with this, high-speed airjet machine, new position printer machinery and position embroidery machinery have been put on display. The latest range of circular knitting machines is also being displayed at this expo.

On the first day on Saturday, 5560 buyers and visitors visited the CTEX Expo. While today, on the second day, Sunday, 11850 buyers and visitors visited this exhibition. Thus, a total of 17,410 visitors visited the CTEX Expo during the two days, benefiting the exhibitors as well as the entire textile industry of Surat.

During these two days, visitors from various cities of the country like Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Surendranagar, Siddhapur, Kolhapur, Kolkata, Bhilwara, Indore, Echalkaranji, Bhavnagar, Varanasi, Nashik, Malegaon, Dungarpur, Hyderabad, Amreli, Abrama, Erode, New Delhi, Pune, Aurangabad, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Patan, Solapur, Etawah, Chennai, Bhuj, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Ghaziabad, Buxar, Ambala, Virpur, Pratapgarh, Badrinathpuri, Bangalore and Silchar visited the exhibition.
