Shakun Group MD Vallabh Maheshwari Dies In BMW Accident On Delhi-Mumbai Expressway

Vallabh Maheshwari, Managing Director of Shakun Group, died on Sunday after his BMW car lost control and overturned on the Delhi-Mumbai expressway near Alwar, Rajasthan.

Maheshwari was travelling from Jaipur to Mathura when the incident happened. Police said his driver, who was behind the wheel, lost control, broke through roadside barricades, and crashed into the median before hitting a culvert wall. The collision was so severe that the luxury car was completely mangled.

The 62-year-old businessman and his driver were rushed to a nearby hospital. Doctors declared Maheshwari dead, while his driver escaped unhurt. His body has been sent to Jaipur for post-mortem. Early investigations suggest that speed or a technical fault may have caused the accident.

Maheshwari served as a director in several branches of Shakun Group, founded in the early 2000s. The group is involved in setting up industries, processing resources, and transporting final products to end-users.

Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot expressed grief on X, saying, “The news of the demise of industrialist Vallabh Maheshwari in a tragic road accident… is extremely heartbreaking. I pray to God to grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family. Om Shanti."
