The Faculty of Business Administration (Exclusively for Women) at Sharnbasva University on Thursday entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Anugraha Eye Hospital, also known as Bhoruka Netralaya, a unit of the Vikassanum Education and Welfare Trust, to strengthen industry-academia collaboration and enhance practical learning opportunities for students.
The agreement was signed by Registrar Lakshmi Patil Maka on behalf of Sharnbasva University and Chairman of Anugraha Eye Hospital Prabhugoud B.L.
The MoU seeks to establish sustained academic and industry collaboration by providing BBA students with internship opportunities and practical exposure in various aspects of hospital administration and management. The partnership will also facilitate industrial visits, guest lectures, workshops and training programmes aimed at enhancing professional competence and employability of students.
Under the agreement, students will receive hands-on training in functional areas such as hospital administration, front office management, human resource management, patient relationship management, marketing, finance and general administration.
They will also benefit from regular industrial visits, observational training and mentoring by experienced professionals to gain a better understanding of organisational practices, workplace ethics and professional expectations.
As part of the collaboration, Anugraha Eye Hospital will assess internship performance of students and provide feedback to support their academic and professional development.
The MoU also envisages collaborative academic activities, including student projects, research initiatives and knowledge-sharing programmes between the university and the hospital.
Vice-Chancellor Anilkumar Bidve, Anugraha Hospital Founder-Director Malini Prabhugouda, Administrator and HR representative of the hospital Anil Reddy, Chairperson of BBA (Exclusively for Women) Department Shilpa Kandagol and faculty member Neeraj S. Tadkal were present.
