Sharnbasva University signs MoU with Industrial University of Vietnam to strengthen academic ties

Sharnbasva University in Kalaburagi has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, to promote collaborative research and strengthen academic, scientific and cultural ties between the two institutions.

The five-year agreement was signed by Professor and Head of the Department of Data Sciences, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, Bui Thanh Hung and Registrar of Sharnbasva University Lakshmi Patil Maka in Kalaburagi recently.

The agreement provides a framework for collaborative research projects in areas of mutual interest, joint publications in journals, books and conference proceedings and efforts to secure research funding from national and international agencies.

It also envisages short-term and long-term exchange programmes for undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students, besides promoting internships, project work, research visits and faculty exchange for teaching and research.

The two universities will also organise joint international conferences, seminars, workshops, symposia and training programmes, while cooperating in academic events and capacity-building initiatives.

The MoU also includes provisions relating to intellectual property rights with intellectual property generated through collaborative activities to be jointly owned unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Sharnbasva University Vice-Chancellor Anilkumar Bidve, Director (Research) V.D. Mytri, Registrar (Evaluation) S.H. Honnalli, Dean (Research) Sujata Mallapur and Dean Shivakumar Jawaligi were present. The MoU documents were exchanged following the signing ceremony.
