'She tortures us everyday': Woman, her mother beat mother-in-law in Ghaziabad - watch viral video

GHAZIABAD: A video went viral on social media platforms in which a woman and her mother were beating her mother-in-law. The accused, identified as Akanksha, was seen beating up her mother-in-law, Sudesh Devi.The incident, which occurred on July 1, came to public attention after a one-minute and 29-second CCTV clip surfaced online on Monday.In the footage, Akanksha was arguing with her mother-in-law, and Akanksha’s mother was making a video. When Sudesh tried to snatch the phone, Akanksha and her mother pushed and hit Devi repeatedly, dragging her to the ground and beating her mercilessly.Satyapal Singh, a resident of Govindpuram, is a retired teacher from Delhi.

His wife is Sudesh Devi, and the couple has three married daughters. He has an only son, Antariksh, who is a software engineer in Gurugram. Two and a half years ago, he arranged his son's marriage to Akanksha, a resident of Swarn Jayantipuram. Akanksha is also a software engineer and has been working from home for a year.The victim alleged that they went to Kavi Nagar police station to lodge a complaint, but the cops didn't.

A senior police officer said that the elderly couple stated in the complaint that Akanksha’s behaviour towards them is not good, and on a daily basis, she used to torture them. Her father is also a cop in Delhi police.Dhawal Jaiswal, DCP of City, said that on the basis of the complaint, an NCR (Non-Cognizable Report) was registered against Akanksha and her mother under the relevant sections in Kavi Nagar police station.
