Bill Belichick’s 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, was reportedly close to joining this season of Dancing With the Stars. However, the deal collapsed at the last moment after disagreements with producers over how her storyline would be portrayed.
According to The Daily Mail, Hudson wanted more say in her role than the show was willing to allow.
Jordon Hudson wanted more than just a spotlight on her relationship with Belichick
Hudson, a former NCAA championship cheerleader from Bridgewater State University, was viewed as a major draw for Season 34. “Jordon was meant to be on the show and they were pushing for it for some time,” an insider revealed. “The producers knew they struck gold getting her but they couldn’t get on the same page.”
The sticking point, sources say, was her desire for creative control.
Hudson reportedly wanted the ability to select her own dance partner, set her practice schedule around attending Belichick’s football games at UNC, and limit certain interviews. More importantly, she pushed back against the producers’ focus on the controversy surrounding her relationship with the legendary coach. “Jordon mentioned she wasn’t interested in doing certain interviews and she wanted to control loads, including picking her dance partner and when to practice, so she could attend games with Bill.
She also didn’t like the direction that [DWTS] wanted to take her story because it seemed to be all about controversy and she wasn’t interested in making it all about her and Bill,” the insider said. The negotiations progressed so far that producers were scrambling for a replacement when the deal fell through. Just two days before the official cast announcement, Fifth Harmony’s Lauren Jauregui signed on to take her place.
Judge Derek Hough later hinted at the backstage drama, saying, “I do know [who backed out]. But I can’t share that. It would’ve been a little messy, I’ll tell you that.”
Jordon Hudson’s history of clashing with producers raises eyebrows
This is not the first time Hudson’s assertiveness has disrupted a project. Earlier reports suggested she played a role in the collapse of a potential Hard Knocks deal between UNC and NFL Films, demanding executive producer credit and greater respect in negotiations.Despite the headlines, Hudson continues to stand firmly by Belichick. She joined him on the field at Kenan Memorial Stadium last Saturday, celebrating UNC’s dominant 41-6 win over Richmond.Belichick, who has credited Hudson with managing his opportunities outside football, went public with their relationship in 2024. Their partnership, it seems, is built not just on romance but also on Hudson’s determination to shape her own narrative. Also Read: "Not A Big Deal": Ben Johnson shrugs off Tom Brady conflict of interest talk ahead of Bears-Raiders Week 4 clash
