Beyond being a game of chance, it plays a significant role in promoting archery among the region’s youth, while also giving players a chance to win impressive cash prizes.

The Shillong Teer lottery, conducted by the Khasi Hills Archery Sports Association (KHASA), not only gives participants a chance to win attractive cash rewards but also plays a key role in encouraging archery among the region’s youth.

HOW TO PLAY SHILLONG LOTTERY?

In this unique lottery format, skilled archers fire 30 arrows in the first round and 20 in the second. Players choose a number between 0 and 99, attempting to predict how many arrows will hit the target in each round. Winners are determined based on the accuracy of their predictions.

Tickets are available through authorised vendors, with prices ranging from Rs 1 to Rs 50. Prize amounts vary depending on the wager and accuracy of the guess. For instance, a correct prediction in the first round with a Rs 1 ticket can yield up to Rs 80, while the second round may offer Rs 60. Accurately guessing both rounds with Rs 1 tickets can win players up to Rs 4,000.
