Shivamogga court receives second bomb threat, security tightened

Shivamogga: Following a bomb threat email sent to the Shivamogga principal district and sessions court, two separate cases were registered at Jayanagar police station. According to the reports, the first mail was sent to the official email id of the principal district and sessions judge on June 24, according to the authorities.The email contained serious allegations regarding politics, media and minor girls in Tamil Nadu and explicitly stated that a bomb explosion would take place inside the Shivamogga court premises. Following the incident, G M Srilakshmi, the chief administrative officer of the district court, filed a complaint at Jayanagar police station, leading to a case being registered against unknown individual.The threat level escalated when a second mail was received on Monday, prompting continuous and rigorous police inspections at the court premises. Shivamogga SP B Nikhil told reporters that a second complaint was registered at Jayanagar police station regarding the latest threat, and security operations remain underway.
