Shivamogga police book case against two

Shivamogga Police have registered a case against two persons for allegedly trying to smuggle a narcotic substance into the Central Prison at Sogane, Shivamogga taluk.

The accused are Mohammed Ibrahim Meera, a resident of Veerapura, Bhadravathi taluk and Syed Sameer of Marnami Bailu, Shivamogga. According to the complaint filed by P. Ranganath, Chief Superintendent of the Prison, the two accused visited the prison to meet an inmate, Syed Ahmed, around 11.15 a.m. on Monday, April 13.
