US President Donald Trump on Tuesday reignited discussions over Greenland, stating the Arctic territory “should be controlled by the United States, not by Denmark." Greenland is an autonomous territory that currently falls under the Kingdom of Denmark.
Reiterating his stance on Greenland, Trump also risked reopening another old wound with NATO. The US-Europe relations are already at a low point.
