Shruti Haasan who is known for her work in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu films, recently spoke about a difficult phase in her career when she was full of doubts and uncertainty. She said that during this low point, actor Dhanush and director Aishwarya Rajinikanth were a great source of support and encouragement for her.
Shruti shared how Dhanush’s kind words gave her clarity and confidence
Shruti made her acting debut in the 2009 film ‘Luck’ and has been part of many notable films since then. However, success didn’t come easy, and she faced several struggles along the way and recently in an interview, while promoting her upcoming film ‘Coolie’, she shared how Dhanush’s kind words gave her clarity and confidence when she was unsure about her career.Shruti and Dhanush worked together in the 2012 film ‘3’, which was directed by AishwaryaRajinikanth and although the film received mixed reviews initially, it later gained a cult following.
Talking about that time, Shruti told Galatta Plus, "There was a lot of faith from the team and a lot of support. Acting opposite Dhanush definitely helped. He’s a really supportive co-star, especially at that time in my life. I had a lot of doubts, so he was very encouraging, he and Aishwarya (Rajinikanth)."She also mentioned that her role in ‘3’ was very important to the story, and the pressure to perform actually pushed her to do better.
She said "My role was so pivotal to the story, too. I always perform under pressure when I’m given responsibility. I realised that then, and the wall broke. After that, my personality also changed a lot."In another interview, Shruti said that if ‘3’ had been released today, it would have been a huge hit, even bigger than the popular song ‘Kolaveri Di’ from the film.
