Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) for the Kurnool Assembly constituency and Kurnool Municipal Corporation (KMC) Commissioner Challa Obulesu has appealed to voters to dispel misconceptions regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process undertaken nationwide by the Election Commission of India and to cooperate for its smooth conduct.

He clarified that the vote of any eligible person would not be deleted under any circumstances. Mr Obulesu on Sunday inspected the SIR process underway at polling booths at Padmavathi School, T.G. Venkatesh Primary Urdu School, and Dabra Street.

Speaking on the occasion, the ERO requested voters and the Booth Level Agents (BLAs) of political parties to cooperate in completing the SIR process easily and swiftly. He advised voters to keep the necessary comprehensive details ready in advance to ensure the ‘SIR’ process is completed in a single phase rather than in stages.

He stated that voters should have two passport-sized photographs, their Voter ID card, Aadhaar card, or any other government-issued identity document prescribed by the Election Commission readily available. It was also suggested that BLAs (Booth Level Agents) should accompany BLOs (Booth Level Officers) to the field to expedite processes such as filling out enumeration forms and voter identification.
