AAP's Delhi unit chief Saurabh Bharadwaj cited the issues raised by the party when names were deleted from the voter list before the 2025 assembly election.
"In the past, we have asked the Election Commission to provide us a list of names deleted from the list with address, but they have refused to do so. We cannot verify whether the people whose names were deleted from the list actually live there [at the addresses mentioned in the electoral roll] or not," Mr. Bharadwaj said at a press conference at the party office.

"The entire SIR process is planned in a way that there is no transparency in it," Mr. Bharadwaj added.
The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls commenced in Delhi on Tuesday (June 30, 2026), with Chief Minister Rekha Gupta filling her enumeration form and urging people to participate in the exercise to strengthen democracy.
Under the month-long voter list verification drive, more than 13,000 booth-level officers (BLOs) began distributing enumeration forms to voters across the 70 Assembly segments in the capital, officials said.
In case any elector has settled in Delhi after 2002, the person will be required to provide the last SIR details of his/her native State where he/she was registered as an elector.
