The SIT charge-sheet in the Tirumala laddu case has made it clear that there is no evidence of animal fat in the ghee used for preparing the prasadam, and yet Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and other NDA leaders continue to spread false narratives, alleges YSRCP leader and former Minister V. Srinivasa Rao.
Speaking at the party office at Tadepalli on Sunday, Mr. Srinivasa Rao said repeated allegations on the presence of animal fat, pig fat, and fish oil in the laddu prasadam were hurting the Hindu sentiments.
He alleged that Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan was inconsistent in his stand on matters of faith. Mr. Srinivasa Rao also criticised that Mr. Naidu, instead of apologising to the devotees, made fresh allegations that hazardous chemicals used for cleaning bathrooms were utilised in preparing the ghee, and called it a malicious attempt to tarnish the sanctity of the Tirumala temple.
“Pro-government media outlets are putting out edited videos to mislead the public,” he alleged. The current TTD administration failed to take steps to procure quality ghee, he added.
Accusing the NDA leaders of resorting to diversionary politics, he alleged that those questioning the government were being intimidated and attacked.
