Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday addressed the Lok Sabha on the ongoing West Asia conflict, calling the situation “alarming" and outlining its implications for India’s economy, energy security and citizens living in the region.

“I am present in this esteemed House to discuss the ongoing conflict in West Asia and the challenges that have arisen before India due to it. The situation in West Asia at this time is concerning," the Prime Minister said at the start of his address.
