Six held for illegal sale of steroids, cardiac stimulant injections
Hyderabad: The Task Force, along with Musheerabad police, arrested six persons for illegally procuring and selling cardiac stimulant injections, steroids and supplements used for rapid muscle growth.According to Task Force DCP Vaibhav Gaikwad, the main accused have been identified as B Shiva (32), a gym owner-turned-online fitness trainer from Musheerabad, and Mohammed Furqanuddin Faisal (28), a scrap vendor from Musheerabad. The other arrested accused are Mohammed Saif (20), a student; Farzan Khan (20), a businessman; Md Yousuf (26), a businessman; and S Abhilash (24), an anaesthesia technician from Jeedimetla.Acting on a specific tip-off, the accused were arrested from their homes by the police and 440 vials of Termin, 336 vials of Mephentermine Sulphate injection, testosterone and Drostanolone-based injections, Somatropin ampoules, amino acid supplements, tablets and two mobile phones, all worth Rs 6.5 lakh, were seized from their possession.Police said Shiva sourced Termin (Neon) and Mephentermine Sulphate injections through an online pharmacy portal, where a Uttar Pradesh-based supplier, Mudid Chouhan, dispatches orders via courier.
Faisal has been procuring the stock from a Punjab-based supplier, Rajan Preet Singh, via an e-commerce platform. The duo were illegally supplying the items to gym-goers through the co-accused for profit.Two separate cases have been registered at Musheerabad police station under Sections 125 (act endangering life or personal safety of others) and 318(4) (cheating) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.“We caution gym owners, trainers and fitness enthusiasts against using injectable muscle-enhancing substances without medical supervision. We will continue surprise inspections to curb such illegal trade,” DCP Gaikwad said.
