A six-year-old girl was kidnapped and killed in an occult ritual in Chhattisgarh. Her sister-in-law planned it, believing it would reveal hidden treasure.

In a tragic incident, a six-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and killed in an occult ritual in Chhattisgarh. The bone-chilling incident took place in Koshabadi village in Mungeli district.

According to a report in India Today, the girl went missing on April 11 while she was sleeping next to her mother. The sudden disappearance of the child triggered panic among her family members who searched for her but to no avail.

A few days later, a skeletal was found at a cremation ground close to the village. It was later found that the skeletal remains belonged to the missing child.

Soon after police received the information, a probe was launched into the matter. During investigation, it was revealed that the girl’s sister-in-law had planned to kill child, believing sacrificing the kid could help her find hidden treasure.

The India Today report mentioned the accused woman had contacted a local occult practitioner who advised her that a child’s sacrifice was necessary to fulfill the ritual.

The sister-in-law reportedly hired a local for Rs 500 to kidnap the girl. The accused lured the child and reportedly took her to a secluded area near the cremation ground where the ritual killing was performed.

So far, Mungeli police arrested five people, including the sister-in-law of the victim, kidnapper and the occult practitioner.
