PUNE: Police on Thursday took Siya Goyal, the prime accused in the Ketan Agarwal murder case to Lohagad Fort, where she and co-accused Chetan Chaudhary allegedly rehearsed pushing her fiance Ketan Agarwal off a cliff before the incident, officials said.Investigators also recovered the clothes Goyal is alleged to have worn on June 18, the day Agarwal died, during a search of her house in Pune's Market Yard area.
Goyal (20) and her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhary (22), are accused of pushing 25-year-old realtor Ketan Agarwal off a cliff at Lohagad Fort in Pune district on June 18. Agarwal was engaged to Goyal, and the couple were due to marry in November.Both accused were arrested after the incident and remain in police custody until July 3."Investigation has revealed that Siya and Chetan had rehearsed at an open space near a club in Lullanagar how to push Ketan off the cliff at Lohagad Fort. According to investigators, Goyal and Chaudhary allegedly planned to kill Agarwal because they considered him an obstacle to their relationship.On Wednesday, Pune Rural Police recreated the crime scene with Chaudhary, who is accused of being part of the alleged murder conspiracy. A similar reconstruction was carried out with Goyal on Sunday, during which a dummy was pushed off the cliff in her presence.Police also said that, in his complaint, Ketan Agarwal's father, Vishal Agarwal, stated that his son had repeatedly expressed concern about Goyal's closeness to Chaudhary, saying she frequently mentioned his name during their conversations.Investigators further alleged that Goyal had earlier disrupted the couple's planned pre-wedding trip to Bali, Indonesia.
