Skirting The Women’s Quota

There was a moment, during the debate in Parliament on women’s reservation and delimitation constitution amendments, when it looked like better sense might prevail. Home minister said, an official amendment was ready, providing for a uniform 50% increase in seats for all states, which could be circulated within an hour.

But neither did the House adjourn, nor was the amendment circulated.
