Hip-hop icon Snoop Dogg has revealed that he feels “scared” to take his grandchildren to the movies after a surprising experience during a screening of 'Lightyear.' The 2022 animated film, which spins off from the Toy Story universe, features a brief sequence in which two women raise a child together.

While the moment passed quickly onscreen, rapper’s grandson had some big questions—questions Snoop admits he wasn’t prepared to answer in a public setting.Recalling the moment on the It’s Giving podcast, Snoop said his grandson turned to him in the middle of the screening and asked: “Papa Snoop? How does she have a baby with a woman? She’s a woman.” The rapper confessed that the situation left him flustered: “Oh s*, I didn’t come in for this s*.

I just came to watch the goddamn movie.”

Snoop Dog wasn’t ready for this line of questioning

The questions didn’t stop there. His grandson pressed on, pointing out that the movie clearly showed “she and she had a baby” and asked how that was possible. Snoop admitted that he had no ready response: “It f** me up. I’m like, scared to go to the movies. Y’all throwing me in the middle of s** that I don’t have an answer for.”The rapper emphasized that it wasn’t about refusing to discuss such topics, but rather the timing and the fact that young children naturally want immediate answers. “These are kids. We have to show that at this age? They’re going to ask questions. I don’t have the answer.”
