Software company manager gets 20-year RI in rape attempt case

A 47-year-old man, earlier arrested for attempting to rape a female employee, was sentenced to undergo 20 years of rigorous imprisonment (RI) by a Rangareddy court on Friday.

The accused was identified as Vivek Natani, a resident of Izzath Nagar in Madhapur, who was arrested by the Madhapur police in 2018. The court also imposed a fine of ₹5,000 and directed payment of ₹3 lakh as compensation to the victim.
